These Terms govern your use of the MCP Rating website, API, and associated open-source tools (together, the "Service"), operated by SoshiteAI ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

This is a free service provided as a community resource. There are no paid features, advertising, or accounts in this version of the Service.

1. The Service

MCP Rating aggregates publicly available information about Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers from public sources (including the official MCP registry, the npm registry, GitHub, and curated public lists), computes independent quality scores, and presents the results via a website and API. We also publish open-source tools (the "Gateway" and related code) under the MIT License; your use of that code is governed by that license, not these Terms.

2. Provided "as is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, complete, or error-free. Quality scores, ratings, categories, and other derived data are our independent, automated estimates for informational purposes only and do not constitute certification, endorsement, or a guarantee of any server's safety, quality, or fitness for any purpose. You are solely responsible for evaluating any MCP server before installing or running it.

3. Third-party content and accuracy

Information about MCP servers is collected from public sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Server names, descriptions, package identifiers, and similar metadata belong to their respective authors and are shown for identification and discovery purposes. Links to third-party sources (GitHub, npm, etc.) are provided for your convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content.

4. Listing removal / takedown

If you are the author or rights holder of an MCP server and want your listing corrected or removed, or if you believe any content infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will review and respond in good faith.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; (c) scrape or use automated means in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Service (please use the public API responsibly); or (d) misrepresent the Service's ratings as official certification or endorsement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any decision made in reliance on quality scores or other information presented. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms or the Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (This will be updated to a specific jurisdiction once an operating location or legal entity is established.)
